Extraordinary, is the word resounding in my head after I finish talking to Beri about her poetry. Reading Beri’s body of poems, it’s difficult to imagine that the majority have been written by a sixteen year old young woman. They show such eloquent and articulate insight into emotions and inner head-workings that many of us are stuck to explain in words and are struck by. Beri however waxes lyrical in a manner that is arresting and has a special way of connecting with the reader because it is immediate.
